Quotes
“God is a rock in a world of Quick sand. To know him in his sovereignty is to become like an oak tree in the wind of adversity and confusion.”
-John Piper
I was reading something from John Piper and I found this quote that he said. And it really touched me because I found so much truth in it. There are so many different views in the world, and it is so easy to get caught up in those views. But if we stay fixed on God and what he has to say then we can stay above the other views. We can stand firm like an oak tree and not be persuaded by the world.
Add some Quotes you find here so others can see what quotes touched you and give the reasons why. So that we may ultimately glorify God together and grow closer to him.
I pray that that you will use this section to record quotes you found that gave you clarity or insight.

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”
-John the Baptist (matthew 3:2)
You must turn from your sin and joyfully follow Christ. It is the only way to be called his child.
“Plan ahead, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.”
I read this in a book and I know its kinda a cliche but it is a good reminder. I also know that Noah built the Ark because he had faith in the promises of God. And God told him to build this boat so that when he (God) floods the earth him (Noah) and his family may be saved and even after 100? something years with no rain Noah continued to build and believe. He had saving faith.
“What do you crave? A crown? Then it must be a crown of thorns if you are to be like him. Do you want to be lifted up? So you shall, but it will be upon a cross.”
- C.H. Spurgeon (taken from OldPaths Magazine)
“All those uncomfortable Scripture verses about taking up the cross – discipline, sacrifice and suffering – some how, they just seem to get in the way of our modern-day ‘convenience store’ Christianity.”
- K.P. Yohannan, Gospel for Asia
i found this on Johnathan’s blog fruitful musings.
and unfortunatly there is alot of truth in it
sad but true for a lot of so called “christians”
“the closest thing to a touch of heaven on earth is fellowship with God’s people.”
-Paul Washer
i was listening to a sermon of his called pray and not lose heart and this really got to me. we get so caught up with our own troubles and problems, and once we start fellowshiping with other christians we focus more on God and less on our problems and the longer were around them the less and less we worry till we are totally focused on God and how truly awesome he is. thats why i think fellowshipping with christians is essential to stay strong in your faith. God works through them and keeps you on the strait and narrow.
“Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it”.
-George Santayana
